WHO IS OMTA?

Individual Members of the Ohio Multi-Use Trail Association (OMTA) include any reliable person, eighteen years of age or older, who is interested in developing and maintaining a wide variety of recreational trails. Each individual member has one vote.

OMTA Family Members consist of two adults residing in the same household with the same privileges and limitations as an Individual Membership, with a limit of two votes.

OMTA Club/Organization Members consist of an organized group located within the state of Ohio. A total of five votes may be cast by the designated representative of the group.

OMTA Sustaining Sponsor Members are any business or firm interested in supporting the activities and ideals of the organization. No voting privileges are available for this type of membership. Sustaining Membership requires approval of a majority of the Board of Directors.

OMTA is administered by its Board of Directors, consisting of: a president, a representative, and alternate from each of the major interest groups, and two or more at-large representatives.

OMTA Board members serve a term of two years, commencing April 1st. Each interest group is responsible for nominating their representatives.

OMTA holds a minimum of three general and special meetings each year, each of which are open to all current members. Meetings will typically be held during November, April, and August of each year.

OMTA is a nonprofit corporation with all members, officers and Directors serving without payment. No part of the assets of the Association is to be used for the benefit of, or to be distributed to, any member, member club/organization, or any type of member organization.
